Withdrawal effects from suddenly stopping are not life threatening but can be extremely distressing.
Can take several months to completely withdraw

Short Term Effects

Depressed cough reflex, respiration and heart rate.
Blood vessels dilate giving feeling of warmth.
Constipation.
New users often vomit - especially when injected
Sedation with higher doses -stupor or coma with very high doses. Dangerous to mix with alcohol or other depressant

Long Term Effects

Tolerance.
Physical dependence
Psychological dependence
Cramps, tremor, sweating, yawning, sneezing on withdrawal
Effects fade after 7 - 10 days but users can feel washed out for months

Long Term Effects

Psychological dependence
Withdrawal effects - acute hunger, fatigue, depression, sometimes suicidal.
Amphetamine induced paranoia can take several months to subside Possible cardiovascular problems due to raised blood pressure
